Another turn in the country, except this time the grass was mown short, giving birds no place to hide. Instead, at dusk, waves and waves of rutting fireflies came bubbling up from the dim murk, something like carbonation.

This nice thing about dollar coins is that one can slap two down on the counter for a coffee.

I have a bigger bowl.
